Christmas 2009

We had a nice Christmas! Darren's parents came over in the morning along with Colin. We had a big lunch and relaxed all day playing both outside and inside. We both of us got in a little excercise too! Connor's favorite present is his new razor bike 'Tornado' shown below. The back two wheels are casters so the back spins out of control when you turn the front handlebars. Marisa loves her new camera and clock for her room. Tyler got some neat squishy toys and a Manny Toolbox which makes way to much noise! Hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and a great 2009. Have a Happy New Year.

Snow Tubing

A little closer than Tahoe is Lathrop where some genius has erected an 8 lane snow tubing park. The snow is man made. The day we decided to go was cold! Marisa was old enough to go by herself and she did - she hardly waited for us at the bottom of the hill before she was on her way back up again. We had a great time

After Tubing

The tube park had reindeer and a snow play area which we hit. The kids favorite reindeer was Rudolpho (Rudolph's long lost cousin apparently).

The 2009 Christmas Tree

Here we are finding the perfect Christmas tree and decorating it. My parents came over for dinner that evening and we all helped unpack the decorations and hang them. Each year we rotate who gets to put the angel on top of the tree. This year was Tyler's turn. The last photo is of Connor looking 'cool' as he drinks his hot cider at a local Christmas caroling get together. This is his second cup as he dumped the first one down his jacket. "It's too hot daddy!"

Thanksgiving

All the grandkids and grandma somehow fit on one couch! Marisa and Connor were big helpers on Thanksgiving morning gettting everything ready. Connor loved visiting his cousin Ivan!

November Photos

We are really behind in posting to the blog. We'll work this weekend on catching up. Here are some photos of our trip to Cincinnati for Thanksgiving. Magic Paul taught each of the kids a trick - here Marisa pulls a scarf out of a hat! IN amother picture Marisa and her cousin Kayla play house.

Halloween

We had a cheerleader, Yoda and a dragon this year. Both older kids had a great time at their school parade. Susan had some challenges getting to both of them, but she did! The kids filled up those plastic pumpkins with candy. Daddy helped ration them out that night however!

Pumpkin Patch

Better late than never. Here are a few pictures of us at the local Pumpkin Patch. The biggest hit was the corn sandbox!

Indoor Soccer

I love this picture of Marisa playing indoor soccer. It's a little blurry, but it shows how she plays. She is aggressive and loves dribbling the ball while most of the other kids just kick it as far as they can.

Triathlon

After months of training - it's over!

Triathlon

Completed the bike portion at 1:58 and left the transition area for the run at 2:00 even. We crossed the finish line at 2:57:00 (subtract 30 min due to which heat we started in). I was signalling to Susan only 1 more loop as the run course was a two loop course.
